Armenians Without Borders: The Comeback

The Mission

Formed in early 2007, AWOB was originaly the brainchild of George Barmakian, when he noticed the lack of an Armenian organization which aspired to bridge the gap between all types of Armenians. During several discussions around the dinner table, the ideas of an organization geared towards the development of a new generation of Armenian writers, thinkers and leaders matured. Determined to succeed, Armenians Without Borders soon became a reality. In October of 2007, George and fellow AWOB founder Sevag Khatchadourian developed the idea of a radio show to provide a forum to discuss different Armenian and general issues and encourage young Armenians to talk about their ideas. AWOB radio serves as a medium to promote new and exciting developments in Armenian culture, as well as giving a pulse on different events and issues in the diaspora. After an extended 4 year hiatus, AWOB Radio has returned with a renewed focus and fervor.
